What to do around St Paul’s
Located in the heart of London’s financial district just minutes from the Stock Exchange and St Paul’s, Marlin London City Queen Street serviced apartments provide unrivalled proximity for corporate and leasure travellers.
Here are a selection of recommendations from the team:
1 Lombard Street
1 Lombard Street is a former bank building turned modern European brasserie with a domed roof – just a 5 minute walk from our Queen Street apartments. The restaurant is open from 7am, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. We recommend visiting on a Friday evening to take advantage of their £25pp steak + wine night.
The Cannick Tapps
Cannick Tapps boasts plenty of character and personality, with rotating craft beers and fresh food, perfect for a quick meal in your lunch hour, a snack to go with the cocktail of your choice or a relaxing dinner with friends.
Homeslice
Just a 50 metre walk from our apartments, Homeslice combines classic pizza combinations with more creative flavours on a 20in base. We recommend sharing as they are absolutely huge.
Madison Rooftop Bar
Enjoy eclectic cocktails with live music, whilst taking in the stunning views of the city’s skyline and St Paul’s Cathedral at Madison Rooftop Bar, just a 5 minute walk from Queen Street.
Mercer Roof Terrace
At Mercer Roof Terrace, just a short walk from Marlin Queen Street, you can enjoy al fresco dining above the city lights in a cozy setting with comfy blankets and overhead heating perfect for chilly evenings.
The India
Tucked away in the neighbouring street from our apartments, The India is an award-winning restaurant, serving classic Indian dishes with fresh ingredients in a friendly environment.
Pelt Trader
Only a 10 minute walk from our Queen Street apartments, the Pelt Trader offers European craft beers on tap and delicious pizza, perfect for after-work catchups.
Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre
Walk from our apartment across the Southwark Bridge to watch some of Shakespeare’s most famous works at the Globe Theatre. We suggest booking a guided tour to immerse yourself in being an Elizabethan Londoner, and exploring 400 years of history.
