Things to Do in Canary Wharf

Canary Wharf is a busy financial area located in London’s Docklands. Dozens of skyscrapers line the banks of the Thames and light up the sky at night. More than just a commercial centre, Canary Wharf is full of shops, bars, restaurants, and parks. There are many fun events on every year from ice skating in the winter to open air concerts and food markets in the summer. This area is also located near the O2 Arena, the ExCel Centre and London City International Airport.

Just a short train ride away across the Thames lies the world famous Cutty Sark ship, the only surviving tea clipper in the world. Stroll away from the Thames and enjoy the lush greenery and sprawling hills of Greenwich Park, home to one of the most iconic views of the London skyline. In the middle of the park lies the Royal Observatory where you can uncover the history of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and stand on the Meridian Line.

Canary Wharf boasts many chic wine and cocktail bars. Try Davy’s for a great selection of wine in a cosy Victorian setting. Or rise to the 48th floor for stunning views of the city and delicious cocktails at Capeesh Sky Bar. Experience fine dining at ROKA, a stylish Japanese restaurant serving great sushi and traditional charcoal-grilled dishes. Or if you’re looking for something more casual try Obica, an Italian restaurant specialising in dishes centred on the freshest mozzarella cheese.
